Client: EDS - Allegheny Energy, PA
Project: Sabre
. Sabre is a desktop application used to reconcile data generated by and
submitted to the PJM power trading market. Allegheny Energy (AE)
generates and trade power, mesh, with the PJM Company to serve its
customer with electricity in Pennsylvania and nearby regions. Sabre is
made up of 3 parts, the file importer, the loader and the UI. The file
importer downloads data from the PJM website, parses the data and
stores it in to a SQL database. The loader reads this data and
compiles it on an hourly, daily and monthly basis and stores it in to
another SQL repository database. The UI which is used to reconcile the
data and display the invoices and reports uses this SQL repository
database.
. The entire application was developed using Visual C# and.NET framework
1.1.
. Architecture team member designing and developing the Allegheny Energy
Framework Web Services. This framework was developed using Visual C#
and .NET framework 2.0

Project: Ripper
. Ripper is a code generation tool which converts a C++/MFC application
to a C# application. It extracts the GUI information from a MFC binary
executable and creates an equivalent GUI in
. Win Forms. There are two major parts in this project, the first part
is a Spy tool which extracts the GUI information and stores it in a
XML format. The second part which is known as Ripper parses the XML
file and generates the resultant C# code.
. Handled the responsibility of designing and coding the Spy tool for
Ripper.
. Used Window's Hook architecture to get the information.

Software Engineer
Client: Rogue Wave Software Inc, NC
Project: Stingray Products.
. Objective Chart is a graphic drawing package that can render complex
chart graphics to any windows GDI. The display of graphics is handled
by a component-based drawing system that uses a list of individual
components to create a montage of drawn items. Objective Chart
supports a large variety of chart types and style settings that define
the appearance of the chart elements.
. Was involved in handling of the Objective Chart component,
basically adding new features and fixing any bugs reported.
. Was involved in creating a Demo Browser for the component. This
browser had a selection of demonstration and information that will
show the user how Objective Chart works and how easy it is to use. The
demo browser is a splitter window application having four different
views. Following were the two latest features added to the demo
browser.
. a) ActiveX Support using ATL - Objective Chart components can be used
in an ATL application that has MFC enabled. A full control was
developed using ATL and Objective Chart. The demo showed this control
being used in a HTML document, which was displayed in the view using
the web browser control, which is supported by CWebBrowser2 class.
. b) XML Serialization - The XML Edition of Objective Chart contains an
XML persistence mechanism that allows charts to be serialized in an
XML format. To demonstrate this feature in the demo browser, a chart
with some data was displayed in the view and the XML format of that
chart was displayed by invoking IE.
. Was given the responsibility of leading the team and creating the
installations for the core components/products of the company.
. Was also involved in porting the products to VC++ 7.0 and Windows XP.
Environment and Tools: Visual C++ 7.0/6.0, MFC 4.2, C++, Visual SourceSafe,
