Skills:
• Strong skills in analysis, modeling and synthesis of active and passive
RF/Microwave circuits. I have developed a variety of analytical methods to rapidly
prototype and examine linear and non linear RF/Microwave circuit design ideas.
• Excellent skills in the development of test methods using RF/Microwave test
equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and performance signal
generators. I am familiar with many measurement techniques for both Tx and Rx
transceiver subsystems and circuits.

Taser International
My responsibilities included the integration of advanced ISM band and GPS capability into new product
development programs for Taser electronic evidence collection systems. Design work to involved design
and layout of associated matching circuitry, amplification and antenna selection /placement for proposed
ISM band and GPS modules. Duties also included the development of test strategy in support of
manufacturing. Interface with contract manufacturers to resolve issues through monthly reviews of
technical issues.
Accomplishments:
• E xecuted the bench level characterization, implementation and integration of ISM
band RF communication devices for new product int roductions. I was also
responsible for overall link reliability and range optimization of ISM band
communication subsystems.
• I improved new product GPS subsystem time to fix and t racking ability through
t he design and integration of the RF path circuit ry. I helped to implement and
develop an assisted GPS method to achieve fix times as fast as 10 seconds.
• I led the development of test strategy and methodology for all new RF subsystems
i ntegrated into new product int roductions.
• Perform t rade studies on emerging Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other ISM band
communication protocols suitable for integration into new products.
RF Engineer 9/05 – 5/09
ViaSat, Inc.
My responsibilities included the design, development and test of 1 to 90 GHz MMICs and multi-chip
modules for existing products and advanced new product development programs. Design work to
involved power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, filters and IC packages. MMIC design
work performed on state of the art GaAs, GaN and SiGe foundry processes. Worked on a collaborative
team of mechanical, manufacturing and test engineers to ensure successful product development and
transfer to production.
Accomplishments:
• I performed the design of a 2 Stage LO Amp on .15 um WIN foundry process and
i mproved the gain response, over the original module, for a new Ka band
t ransmit ter M M IC. This also resulted in improved spurious response of the overall
M M IC performance.
• Responsible for the re-design of a diode based sub-harmonic pumped up-converter
for Ka band t ransmitter module and achieved excellent harmonic balance thus
i mproved overall t ransmit linearity.
• I mproved the temperature stabili ty performance of the ViaSat satelli te
t ransceiver Ka band t ransmit ter module through optimization of the temperature
compensation circuit ry of the H igh Power Amp M M IC.
• Performed a t rade study in co-operation with M IT Lincoln Labs on power
amplifier performance optimization techniques which has lead to the development
of a high power amplifier M M IC for mili tary applications.
RF Test Engineer 1/97 – 6/05
Agilent Technologies
Responsibili ties included testing of Agilent Vector Network analyzer microwave integrated
circuits, subsystems, and final systems for new product int roductions and production.
D uties included design and development of microwave circuit test procedures, measurement
a lgorithms, test jigs and fixtures as well as specify test equipment. I was responsible for
performing measurement uncertainty analysis, measuring performance metrics and
p reparing summarized and detailed reports on statistical product performance. O ther
d uties included supporting VNA production in terms of test failure diagnoses and analysis
for various product lines. I performed re-design of microwave circuits and subassemblies to
resolve obsolescence and design issues in manufacturing.
Accomplishments:
• I was responsible for the development of test systems, to verify the performance of
network analyzer subsystems and modules, where I was able to develop a more
efficient and accurate source path calibration routine for Agilent 8720 PNA.
• Worked with R&D on DFM/DFT issues during new product int roductions where I
i nt roduced PCB level RF testing which improved yields at final system test upon
i ni tial product release.
• Responsible for generating test support documentation and performing
measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Performed re-designs for part obsolescence, performance, and design issues. I
redesigned a 13 stage logarithmic amplifier extending product life of the 8757D
scalar network analyzer for 3 years.
