CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
> Chaired the GM-Ford-Chrysler Operation Teams that developed initial
versions of two key Automotive Industry documents, both of which were
formally published by AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) in 1990
and 1991 respectively: the Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) Manual,
and the Statistical Process Control (SPC) Manual (distributed to over
30,000 first, second, and third tier automotive parts suppliers
throughout the US). All automotive parts suppliers are required to
utilize techniques defined in these reference manuals for formal
approval of parts and associated gages.
> Instituted SPC in machining operations at NDH Bearings Division of GM
in 1979 - SPC was in its infancy at this time in the Automotive
Industry.
> Instituted SPC "from scratch" in GM's Pontiac FESM (Front End Sheet
Metal - Fenders and Hoods) Stamping Plant in Pontiac, Michigan.
> Designed and implemented two highly successful statistically-designed
experiments (DOE) in GM's Pontiac Fiero Car Assembly Plant in Pontiac,
Michigan.

. Managed Engineers responsible for dimensional and statistical analyses

resulting in significantly improved taillamp designs on future
