Documentation Manager

Challenged as the first Technical Writer hired by the company to create

user guides, installation guides and documentation that would be well

written and easy to understand. Promoted to manage the Technical

Writing department when it grew to three people. Communicate with all

R&D departments to produce intuitive documentation for all

applications. Responsible for creating user manuals for all software

versions.

Key Accomplishments

o During first year with the company, learned all software

applications and wrote user and installation guides for each.

o Worked extensively with product trainers to develop effective

curricula for the company's clients and employees.

o Created and wrote the training guides still being used by major

pharmaceutical companies including Novartis, Pfizer, and Astra

Zeneca for certification of their employees.

o Conceptualized and implemented the transfer of the Technical Writing

group from the Education department to the R&D department to have

direct access to the software developers in order to develop more

detailed, accurate and timely documentation.

o Successfully completed an update of all software and documentation

to meet a rigid deadline when the European Regulatory Agency (EMEA)

made changes that affected Pfizer's submission. The reworking of all

deliverables saved allowed Pfizer to meet the scheduled date of its

product launch.
