Judicial Law Clerk, August 2009 - Present

Analyzed whether a police officer was outside the scope of his employment

or immune under the Maryland Local Government Tort Act. Explained that an

award of $5.4 million must be reduced on remittitur because a police

officer was within the scope of employment. Researched whether Maryland

should recognize a federal pattern and practice claim for a Prince George's

County Police Officers alleged targeting of Latin American residents.

Determined whether police protection of an apartment complex is inherently

dangerous and therefore a non-delegable duty. Analyzed whether the

rescission of promissory notes was necessary. Researched whether banks

were conducting predatory lending practices under Maryland and District of

Columbia law. Analyzed whether zoning applicants must file an affidavit to

the Prince George's County District Council prior to considering an

application. Determined whether Petitioners were aggrieved by the passage

unauthorized used of Discovery Communication's copyrights and trademarks.

Researched whether an agreement on a napkin was sufficient to establish a
