Purchase To Pay (P2P) - Vendor Portal System
Under the umbrella of the Purchase-to-Pay Project (P2P), ITT intends to
consolidate their Accounts Payable functions within a shared services
environment. As part of this initiative, they also intend consolidate their
supplier database into one, streamlined database. Impacted audiences are:
Finance/Accounts Payable, Supply Chain and IT. Their objectives are to
reduce the cost of A/P transactions and to leverage the cost of purchases
through a data based of approved suppliers.
The selected technology includes SAP R/3 A/P, Business Warehouse (BW), and
Workflow and Imaging (Vendor Portal, Optura and Commonstore), Portals
(Plumtree) and an Enterprise Application Integration (EAI/WBI) solution as
part of their ITT Accounts Payable Shared Services Initiative for selected
Business units. Imaging, Portals and EAI are implemented using non-SAP
solutions and products.
Worked with IBM Corporation in implementing Purchase to Pay- (P2P) Vendor
Portal (Web Application) project, where the global vendors of ITT
Industries are maintained from the Vendor Portal System. The ITT users are
given access from the portal for accessing/updating/adding New Vendors to
the SAP Vendor Master Database. Worked with technologies like SAP Exchange

GENIUS - GE New Issue and Underwriting System
GENIUS is a new web-based component of GE which automatically handles the
applications received at Genworth to issue a new Policy to the customer.
The data is captured and paired with the corresponding image and sent to
Genworth Filenet Image Collector. The data is validated and transformed to
GENIUS data collector(s), matched to the corresponding image creating a
CASE in GENIUS. The transformed data is Quality Analyzed and the
application is processed through the GENIUS workflow process which splits
into different work flow component roles like Indexing-Which categorizes
the application received by different factors, Data Entry-where the image
received is being Data Entered, Form Validation - where the Rules Based
Engine (RBE) is invoked to validate the Form Data and creating
corresponding tasks for the Escape Manager and Underwriter. Then the case
goes through the process of Issue and Delivery and finally stores in
Cyberlife. The application is built on using the J2EE Struts framework
within WebSphere Enterprise Portal technology.
