• Researched and replaced dated products realizing a substantial cost savings for superior products

and software.

remediation of the ES9000 operating system and third party software.

Operation Manager / Project Manager

• Responsible for all VSE operations for the company. This included working with management at

locations in Eden NC, Fieldale VA, Scottsboro AL and Columbus GA.

• Changed COBOL programs, used in daily production, to read and write disk instead of tape

reducing the amount of time necessary for processing data. Converted Data Entry from diskette to

an on-line Keyfast Data Entry System. Built a tape management system and reduced the amount

of time for tape handling by four hours a day. Rearranged the workload and reduced overtime by

seventy percent in Data Entry and Data Control and reduced the number of people needed by

three.

• As a Project Manager, a team member along with Tech Services, Applications,

Telecommunications and Management consolidated four VSE shops from four states into the

Kannapolis NC Data Center. This included setting new work schedules, setting up new terminals,

PCs and printers, training operators, setting up a tape management system, restructuring the JCL

to be loaded to the 4D scheduling system, analyzing and improving data processing methods in

order to expedite the throughput.
