Objective: To find permanent employment with an established construction firm where
my experience would be valued and where continued professional growth is
encouraged.
Summary: Began career in construction as a form carpenter for Mission Construction
after a year was promoted to carpenter foreman. After continuing my
education while employed attending University of Houston/Community
College and several AGC schools was promoted to project superintendent.
After 8 years with Mission I was laid off. As a career change I accepted
employment as a plant production manager with Marietta Millworks in
Georgia. While this was a more stable work environment it did not give me
the sense of fulfillment that I feel upon completion of a construction project. .
As the construction business is an ever evolving industry I have been
diligent in my efforts to maintain an updated knowledge of the latest
advances and changes in codes, materials, standards, technology and
techniques.
My experience as a construction superintendent includes diverse and
numerous varieties of project types, sizes and locations. To highlight some
of these projects, ground up casino/hotels in Las Vegas, NV. In the $100M+
range with Ainsworth & Faulkner for Gold Strike Casinos, ground up $5M to
$20M range with Foxcor Inc. for First United Bank Corp. in Durant, OK, with
Mission Construction for Shell Petroleum in Pasadena, TX, for Exxon and
retail building for Safeway Inc. both in the Woodlands, TX., ground up
projects in the $1M to $5M range with Thaten Building for Valero Corp. in
Richardson, TX. with Moss Construction for North Texas Utility District in
Forney, TX. with Foxcor Inc. for Hodges Development in Grand Prairie, TX
and for First United Bank in Denton, TX, with Mission Construction for
Affiliated Healthcare in Missouri City, TX. Remodeling projects in the $20M+
range in Las Vegas, NV. with Ainsworth and Faulkner of the Frontier Hotel
for M. Elardi, in Honolulu, HI. with Adon Construction, the Wiakiki Terrace
