Internet traffic transfer over a core of Cisco XR12000 -
7609 routers.
Responsibilities and achievements:
. Design, implementation and operation the 3G and HSDPA
IP/MPLS network.
. Design, implementation and operation the core EoSDH IP/MPLS
voice network with C12000-7609 and Nokia Media Gateway
equipment.
. Design of Femto trial network with Ericsson equipment.
. Technical design of customer networks and support for the
implementation of solutions.
. Responsible engineer for the Content Delivery network of

. Management, provisioning and configuration of the network

Q - Telecommunications offers internet access to corporate
users,
through an LMDS network. IP traffic is aggregated from
the access
points into Juniper Networks equipment, and routed
towards the
internet via Cisco equipment. Responsibilities and
achievements:
. Responsible for the company core IP - GPRS network. The
network consists of M20 Juniper Networks routers running
MPLS/VPN.
. Responsible for the management of the IP Address Space
allocated and assigned by RIPE.
. Configuration of the network equipment for each new access
point.
. Monitoring the quality of the service offered over each
leased line via Network Management System.
2001 - 2002 QINETIQ, PORTSDOWN TECHNOLOGY PARK, UK.
RESEARCH ASSISTANT
In collaboration with University College London, Qinetiq
run this
research project to investigate ways to
optimise the time usage
efficiency for multi-function radars.
Responsibilities and achievements:
. Designed novel MATLAB filters for use in multiple target-
tracking which minimised the time required for this
function.
. The work led to a publication which was presented at the
London Communications Symposium, on September 9, 2002.
. The results of this research work contributed in Qinetiq
awarding a new research contract to University College
London.
