GPS & DGPS technologies.

Description: A prestigious project in Oman costing around 2 billion US$.

Job Involves Production of shop drawings for the natural sand stone

cladding, the job mainly deals with understanding the consultants drawings

and converting it in to shop drawings using AutoCAD applying construction

principles. The sizes of stones are accurately measured from the drawings

which are then given for stone cutting yard for cutting the stone. The

approved drawings are sent to metal fixing designer in U.K, The final

fixing drawings received from them are plotted and given to stone fixers

for fixing them to the structure.

Ramtech Corporation, INDIA (Feb. 1996 to Feb.

1999)

Worked as Sr.CAD Engineer (CAD/GIS) in RAMTeCH Corporation

(http://www.ramtech-corp.com), INDIA handled several critical projects for

many fortune 500 companies like Imap Conversion for Bell Canada, Telecom

Net Work Digitization Maps. This is a Telecommunication project involves in

computerization of Main distribution frames (MDF), Interfaces and laying of

plant items like Cables, Conduits, Manholes, Handholes, Equipments,

Terminals Etc.., On land base linked to the database with the aid of plants

send by the client using Cable cad package. Cable cad is a specialized

telecom software version of Bell-Canada operated on OS/2 Warp.

Task involved are: extraction (Work package preparation), Production, QC,

QC Editing, Merging (Inserting all work packages after completion of QC

editing), Final packing (Running all required programs and making data

error free as per customer requirement).

Projects, Roles & Responsibilities

Some of the most valuable/important projects executed in my professional

career as follows.

Project #1 AM/FM (Computerization of Bell-Canada Imap Project)

Client: Bell-South

Technologies: CableCAD (IMAP), AutoCAD

Scope: The project entailed a thorough study of the present cable network

of Canada including Aerial, Buried, and UG system. The same were converted

by using custom made software Cable Cad (1.1)

Role/Contribution: Involved in converting the OSP records into vector

format and Quality Control and taken primary role on converting Conduits

and geo referencing the as-built scanned images to the base map.

Project #2: AM/FM Parcel Mapping

Client: Killeen County, USA

Technologies: AutoCAD Map, ArcGIS, ArcObjects and VB6

Scope: The project has two phases.

Phase1: Aimed at conversion of Parcel, Block, Sub division, Village,

District, Fire response, Police beat boundaries and Deed Dimensions etc

into Personal GeoDatabase.

Conversions of features are done in AutoCAD Map. Tool has been developed to

convert the DXF data into Personal GeoDatabase with all relationships.

Salient features of the tool are

< Creation of Relationships to features

Phase2: Aimed to develop a tool to maintain the database. Salient features
