Northstar manufactures helicopter transmissions for Boeing and the US

Government. Responsible for analyzing MRP output and planning, scheduling

and placing purchase orders for aerospace components including forgings,

castings, and other long lead time components. Analyzed and selected third

party logistics provider. Analyzed and began implementing tool crib primary

supplier and subcontracting process. Participated in kaizen events and did

value stream mapping. Attended seminar on negotiation skills.

Virotek, LLC, Production Planner, 12/05/03 to 02/11/05

Virotek was a non-invasive medical testing device manufacturing company.

Entered sales orders, processed MRP, analyzed production requirements,

calculated work order requirements, created work orders, generated lot

numbers, issued material to work orders, created the shop paper, closed the

work orders out, reconciled the material usage, and scheduled shipments

using Syspro ERP. Led weekly production meetings, establishing both the

production and shipping schedule. Granted full authority for ERP software

decisions on parameters and process flows. Upgraded inventory costing

process and data, reducing inventory value over $47k. Reviewed procedures

in preparation for Food and Drug Administration audit. Identified over

$250k of obsolete inventory.

Managed 25 employees while supervising production planning, production

scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control. Designed and implemented an

inventory transaction control system raising raw material cycle accuracy

from 40% to over 90%. Established a program to identify and eliminate

obsolete and excess material, reducing inventory over $100k. Implemented

Baan ERP software purchasing functionality. Wrote and reviewed policies and

Norton McMurray is a natural gas valve and fittings manufacturing company.

Performed the production planning and control functions while reducing

inventory waste by more than $150k from a $650k inventory, dramatically

increasing inventory turns. Set up a realistic budget based upon the

costing system to spend $40k to $50k a week. Designed and implemented

performance measurements. Mapped and analyzed the value stream for the

primary production process. Solicited and reviewed supplier quotes.

Researched and resolved questions in QMRP ERP manufacturing software.

Exchange Parts of America was a rebuilder of automotive brakes. Designed

and implemented a vendor consignment system, including physical procedures

and software. Managed and directed 20 purchasing, inventory control, and

manufacturing personnel in three states. Managed MRP planning runs, created

and released work orders for shop floor control. Managed the implementation

of QMRP ERP software.
