-Solely responsible for the PINK deck (visual reference of the
product line for each floor set) which includes a flat sketch, fabric
information, branding, trim, graphics, and prints for each style
-Key liaison between design, merchant, production and color/print teams,
and overseas and domestic factory representatives to ensure design changes
are communicated to all relevant persons and teams
-Coordinate with global contractors to maintain positive relationships and
to develop protocols and procedures to promote expedient, cost effective
but quality -controlled production
-Maintain and update decks while working cross- functionally with all teams
to confirm that information and critical schedules are conveyed and
documented accurately, completely and in a timely manner
-Lead weekly team meeting and work with the Director of Merchandising to
execute actions called out in these meetings
-Analyze selling history to define key trends by silhouette, color, print
/pattern while sharing seasonal historical performance of product
classifications to the production and merchant teams
-Responsible for writing and policing global partner/vendor protocols and
corporate procedures relative from pre-production to production.
-Liaison between my team and the corporate legal department for maintenance
of social compliance and corporate brand design and production policy

-Designed private label women's contemporary fashion. Apparel was
manufactured in China and --India and sold in my own four-store chain of
retail boutiques and to the White House Black Market clothing corporation
-Owned and operated a four-store chain of boutiques. Acted as apparel
designer, buyer, merchant, operations manager, financial director, and
sourcing manager.
-Designed textiles and furniture. Executed licensing agreements with
Vanguard Furniture and Paladin Industries, both in High Point, N.C., to
manufacture, distribute, and sell my furniture and fabric.

-Instrumental in growing a start-up company from a single store to 140
doors with annual sales of over $150 million. The company was sold to
Chico's FAS in 2005.
-Responsible for developing the White House Black Market Brand and
promoting Brand consistency and recognition for over ten years of growth
-Assisted in developing and managing the concept of buying, manufacturing
and selling "fashionable clothes and accessories for middle- age, highly
energetic, and hip women in the colors of black and white".
-Initiated and executed business plans, open to buy strategies, and real
estate expansion directives for growth of a multi-million dollar retail
operation.
-Managed a corporate team of over 5000 employees. Managed a buying and
production team of 50 employees on a day to day basis
-Forecasted trends and researched product performance history to ensure the
Brand stayed on the cutting edge of our customer's flavor for fashion.
