TECHNICAL

. Certified Level 3 NDT Inspector/Examiner in accordance with MIL-STD-

410, NAS-410, MIL-STD-271, and SNT-TC-1A in the radiographic, ultrasonic,

eddy current, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant methods of

inspection. Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector. Held certificates as

ASNT Level III for the magnetic particle and liquid penetrant inspection

methods.

. Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector with experience with AWS D1.1,

AWS D1.2, AWS D 17.1, and AWS D9.1.

. Developed procedures for the various inspection methods and standards

for the certification of personnel, facilities, and equipment.

. Developed an inspection process for the examination of

composite/laminate structures using infrared thermal radiography.

. Performed audits of NDT and welding operations at suppliers, submarine

and naval bases and missile launch sites.

. Designed courses and materials to train inspection personnel.

. Created specifications that detail the requirements for the welding of

low and high carbon and alloy steels and aluminum and aluminum alloys;

and the in process weld repairing of castings.

. Developed radiographic standards for porosity used in the evaluation

of partial penetration aluminum weldments, and, a surface quality

standard for aluminum and steel castings.

. Implemented an ASME Code Welding program for fabricating or repairing

pressure vessels, reactors, and heat exchangers.

. Provided support for the inspection of flight hardware, solid rocket

motors, composite materials, and support equipment.

. Perform and analyze metallurgical tests to determine microscopic,

chemical and physical properties.

. Perform dimensional inspections using coordinate measuring machines,

micrometers, calipers and other measuring instruments.

. Evaluate the various processes and determine control points and limits

to develop SPC charts as part of implementing AS 9100 and TQM principles,

as well as becoming a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

. Responsible for the review of customer purchase orders and drawings

for quality requirements, and establish inspection criteria based on

those conditions.
