Test System Development – Test Engineer II – Dish Network
1. Proficient in Labview programming concepts and strategies. This includes working with DAQmx, State machines, active X, serial communication, GPIB, file IO and report generation. Used Labview to interface with DAQ cards, Video cards, RF test equipment, Multiplexers (RS-485) and SQL server.
2. Verified technical requirements on automation projects within the Dish Network Service facility. These included the evaluation of connectors, cables, download procedures of receivers and configuration of test benches.
3. In charge of the development of any custom software tools to be used at the Dish Network service center. Designed both the hardware and software of test systems including tests for Satellite TV Set Top Boxes, LNBs, Cables, Multi-switches, Splitters, Diplexers and others. All projects involve a great deal of planning, coordination with other departments, buying the equipment, software development and system implementation.
4. Proficient in DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control), concepts of communication.
5. Development and maintenance of custom database applications and interfaces to collect data and generate reports. Skilled in Transact-SQL including the creation of tables, report generation and implementation within Automated Test Systems.
