Conceived and produced Web sites, "Jargon Busters," a dynamic online

Produced feature stories; music, movie and book reviews; polls and message

board topics; and quizzes; maintain, edited and project managed BETJ.com, a

Black Entertainment Television Web site, which offered a wide variety of

music, cultural and magazine content for a mature, multicultural

demographic.

Project managed the successful 2004 launch of BETJ.com by working with

technical, editorial and graphics teams and the television network's

programming and marketing teams.

Brought an authoritative editorial voice to BETJ.com that significantly

increased its credibility in the worlds of jazz, R&B, pop and electronica.

Directed the bi-weekly production and programming of all BET J broadband

video.

Produced content for BET J's daily blog, "Beneath the Underdog."

Provided music coverage on emerging artists that constantly positioned BET

J as a leading tastemaker in the R&B and jazz fields, often surpassing

competitors such as VH1-Sol and BlackPlanet.com.

Provided additional journalistic/producer support to BET.com by writing

various hard news, entertainment features and international travel

articles, some of which were picked up by MSNBC.com

Provided extensive Web coverage on events in Canada, Norway, Panama,

Barbados, Anguilla and Belgium.

Developed and produced an innovative multi-media jazz library, sponsored by

Infiniti motor vehicles. The Jazz Library consisted of audio, written and

visual components, increased traffic to BETJ.com.

Produced exclusive interviews with Aretha Franklin and Smokey Robinson,

respectively, event previews and concert reviews for two major BET

televised specials.

National Public Radio, Online Associate Producer

December 1999 - February 2003

Produced, edited and maintained high-quality text, audio and visual content

for NPR Web sites. Coordinated with NPR's Arts & Information Unit and

broadcast magazine shows in conceiving and implementing features for radio

and Web.

Co-project managed the successful launch of NPRJazz.org Web site.

Effectively co-led outstanding NPRJazz.org Web site journalistic team,

including daily management and copyediting.

Successfully produced a combination of archival and original content, used

to enhance NPR radio programming and to attract a younger audience.

Wrote CD liner notes and radio script for NPR's 2000's Jazz Piano

Christmas.

Produced robust coverage of such prestigious events as the 2000 JVC Newport

International Jazz Festival and the 2001 Thelonious Monk Institute

International Hand Drum Competition.

Represented NPR on key panels at the International Association of Jazz

Educators conference (2001, 2002 and 2003).
