Duties: Responsible for surveillance, monitoring, controlling, and

inspection of several construction projects at one time, which may vary in

difficulty and complexity. Types of projects encompass a variety of civil,

structural, electrical, mechanical and architectural design requirements

that may involve specialized equipment, unusual problems, extensive

planning and coordination. Study plans, specifications, and contracts to

become thoroughly familiar with all work requirements. Observe, inspect,

and investigate all construction phases to insure compliance with

specifications, and shop drawings; identify actual or potential problems

and determine necessity for changes or remedial action. Investigate need

for contract change order, controversies which could lead to formal claims

by the contractor, deviations requiring engineering determination and other

matters. Make on-the-spot decisions and commitments to avoid delays in

construction with respect to minor changes in construction, deviations from

schedules, and resolution of disputes over the acceptability of work.

Occasionally confer with contractors concerning sufficiency and suitability

of equipment being used, number of workers employed, etc., to assure

completion of work on or ahead of schedule. Check work areas, method of

performance, etc., for safe practices. Coordinate extensively with

contractors, using services and occupants concerning controversial problems

of work scheduling, interpretation of plans and specifications, work

methods, acceptability of workmanship, and changes to the plans. Provide

information on contract status as requested. Prepare various reports and

correspondence pertaining to construction progress, payments,

modifications, materials, delays in construction as they relate to field

construction activities. And operate an automobile to accomplish assigned

duties.

Duties: Serving as a Construction Superintendent, I directed the activities

of

contracted workers in the construction of new family housing on Fort

Leonard Wood.

My responsibilities included, but were not limited to: studying

specifications to

plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times;

establishing

staffing requirements for each phase of construction, based on knowledge of

available

tools and equipment and various building methods. I was also responsible

for the

procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to

conform

to work schedules. I conferred with and directed supervisory personnel and

subcontractors

in planning and executing work procedures; interpreting specifications; and

coordinating

various phases of construction to prevent delays. I conferred with

supervisory personnel

and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within the

work force.

I conferred with supervisory, engineering personnel, inspectors, suppliers

of tools and materials to resolve construction conflicts and improve

construction

methods. I inspected work in progress to ensure that work conformed to

specifications

and that construction schedules were adhered to. I prepared reports on

progress of

construction, materials used and cost of materials. I adjusted work

schedules as

indicated by reports. I was responsible to oversee the completion of all

construction

in accordance with the engineer and architectural drawings and

specifications and

prevailing building codes. I divided all required construction site

activities into

Duties: I designed wood roof and floor truss systems using Truswall design

software

and conducted cold calls on potential customers across southwest and

central Missouri

to generate new sales accounts. I reviewed plans, blue prints,

specifications and

construction drawings to provide accurate materials takeoff list for

construction

of truss systems. I scheduled production, estimated total project cost,

verified

dimensions of project at jobsite prior to production, and resolved design

and production

issues in the production plant and with customers. I coordinated and worked

contractors and lumber salesmen to give jobsite assistance with product

installation,

Duties: I was responsible to supervise construction crews of many different

sizes,

ranging from one to ten employees at multiple job sites. I scheduled sub

contractors

and provided general oversight relating to the construction of residential

properties.

cost-effective

construction

in accordance with the engineered drawings, architectural drawings,

prevailing building codes. During this time frame, I briefly worked with

Mosley Construction

and then became self employed still working closely with Walters

Construction and

utilizing references and contacts. While working with Mosley Construction I

as the Lead Carpenter of Contract Construction Projects for Fort Leonard

Wood. I

supervised a crew of eight carpenters and laborers in both commercial and

residential

construction and remodeling. I met regularly with owners, other

constructors, trade

contractors, vendors, architects, and engineers to monitor and coordinate

all phases

of the construction projects. As the Owner of Heenan Construction, I was

responsible

for pay roll, planning of construction projects, job site supervision and

safety

of four employees in residential remodeling, concrete pouring, roofing,

framing,

performance of

all trade contractors and for ensuring that all work was completed on

schedule. I

equipment;
