Responsible for change management and Six Sigma implementations for

In 2003, President of startup of www.ThatsMyTale.com an interactive

publishing tool for creating eBooks with an online Library storage.

Responsible for project and change management solutions, content management

and best practices in software solutions in managing projects. The

interactive technology is a simple easy to use command based solution

enabling students and teachers to create literacy works online, store and

print from their desktops to copiers with saddle stitch binding. UNCC

Department of Education conducted the literacy research evaluation for

www.thatsmytale.com and concluded the easy to use build-a-book process is

the potent methodology for improving literacy through online writing,

reading and reflecting of literacy works. Company integrating with Xerox

Partnership Program for 2010/11 rollout.

Wachovia, NC, COO Technology & Business Operations 2000-

2008

Responsible for leading business projects for change management focused on

ecommerce, technology and operations for financial services sales,

marketing, policy and practices for business

operations and technology architecture, software utility strategies, build

vs. buy strategies, Six Sigma, execution, risk management and support.

Responsible for $145 million ecommerce budget and direct staffing budget of

$35 million annually for the ecommerce strategy integration, service, 3rd

party vendors, business architecture, operations, internet security

reviews, merger initiatives and off shoring due diligence.

. Guided the steering committee team for business and technology

architecture as the bank continued aggressively in acquiring

customers through mergers. Responsible for staying on top of

Responsible for the ecommerce financial services strategy, architecture,

3rd party utilities, middleware, development, buy vs. build solutions,

integration with legacy systems, rollout, and maintenance of ecommerce

applications for American Express in Phoenix Arizona. Co-chair the Policy

& Standards Committee chartered with establishing global polices and

standards for engineering, operations and maintenance, off shoring,

security & risk management, branding and servicing model for the Financial

Services Retail and Corporate segments.

. Joined the American Express interactive technology team to design

and develop solutions to drive new revenue streams. Worked with the

Global CIO on the leadership team across IT verticals and ecommerce

(interactive technology) to agree on the new architecture for

ecommerce and integration with legacy systems. Worked with Amex

leadership team with

American Express, NY, SVP Global FiSrv Technologies 1998-2000

Ernst & Young Consultancy to determine the new architecture for

ecommerce utilities, middleware, web applications, buy vs. build

strategy, security, branding and web design standards and policies.

. Developed the presentation and educational materials for the

architecture standards to be utilized across Amex. Supported the

Business and IT CIO's supporting management in communicating to

staff the new strategy, standards and policies. Supported the

implementation teams to ensure we navigated their needs for success

by establishing a Technology Review Board to assist project teams

with implementing the new architecture standards using conference

calling and/or video across the globe. Check Points with

entrance/exit criteria for project implementation was utilized with

much success in navigating the team members in delivering eProducts.

. Developed and led high energy teams responsible for the roll out of

AmericanExpress.com retail financial services department with an

overall department budget of $150 million annually for new

technology product implementation. Managed 150 employees on shore

and up to 75-150 offshore in India. Responsible for rapid

development of transaction applications and software utilities

including new development and/or integration from the internet,

middleware, and mainframe with full responsibility for staffing and

project implementation. Applications included 401K, Online Banking,

eLoans, Financial Advisory and Consumer Reporting of Financial

Services.

. Directed the Six Sigma Initiative for ecommerce including Black and

Green belts staffing and strategy. Established the governance

process for using Six Sigma methodologies.

. Created and maintained a governance process whereby projects went

through milestone reviews with business and technical key

stakeholders (i.e. technical architecture, operations, customer

service, and user acceptance testing standards).

. Created an off shoring and local vendor management group to address

internal company staffing needs.

AstraZeneca, DE, Senior Program Manager 1989-1998

Public Relations Chairperson & SAP/ERP Manager responsible to represent the

company bio-science interests in pioneering a US based eCommerce

Association for the Ag Chemical Industry working with manufacturers and

distributors. Developed and maintained a board, the bylaws, directors and

the charter working with Chemical appointed manufacturers and distributors.

. Architected a non-profit standards organization for bio-technology,

Rapidnet.net Ag Assoc for Electronic Commerce (AAEC) subcommittees

and memberships. Traveled to various US manufactures and

distributors recruiting for memberships. Accomplishments included

buying in manufacturers and distributors to work together under a

non-profit organization to standardize data that would be shared

across the healthcare industry for bio-technology.

. Legacy System migration to SAP leadership team member. Architected a

Sales Force Automation System that pulled data from SAP and

integrated it nightly into the sales forces technology solution that

was PC based application.
