entire Sunoco-Toledo Refinery site which encompassed over 25,000 components and

over 100,000 leak tests annually.

Progressed from entry-level monitoring technician through all possible training

and certifications to Site Supervisor within six months.

Took full responsibility for improving site effectiveness while facing serious

risk of the client not renewing the contract due to poor performance.

Researched all client needs, internal corporate requirements, and regulatory

Monitoring Technician Duties/Accomplishments

Ability to find and identify many pieces of refinery process equipment, monitor

hundreds of points daily using toxic vapor analyzer (TVA) for daily emissions,

and perform simple maintenance on leaking equipment.

High level of safety awareness, hazard recognition, and application of many

forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in order to work safely around

refinery hazards.

Extensive field exposure to equipment, operations, and severe weather

conditions while covering several miles on foot, climbing equipment to

elevations up to 200 feet all while carrying a 35 pound backpack with

monitoring equipment.

Achieved fifteen individual certifications including equipment calibration,

equipment specialist, MOC specialist, master technician, remonitoring, simple

maintenance and finally field supervisor.

Work with plant operations personnel to resolve problems with leaking

equipment, monitoring deadlines, and work orders.
