the successful adoption of the CIDNE system in Afghanistan by US and NATO
forces.
. Sr. Systems Engineer for the CIDNE (Combined Information Data Network
Exchange) program. Responsible for building, testing, deploying, and
maintaining physical and virtual VMware W2K3 servers in all major
Regional Commands in Afghanistan. These servers are running multiple
applications to include: SQL Server 2005, PostGRES Sql 8.4/PostGIS
1.5.0, Adobe ColdFusion 8, Apache Web Server, DataXtend 8.1, OpenFire,
and others.
. Worked closely with potential NATO CIDNE customers and generated
system requirements for the NATO CIDNE system for Afghanistan. The
result was the adoption of CIDNE by NATO as the official tool for
Intelligence and Operations reporting and imagery analysis tools for
all of Afghanistan.
. Worked closely with NCSA (NATO Communication and Information Systems
Agency) to evaluate the security posture of CIDNE and harden the
system as required. The result was approval for CIDNE to operate on
NATO networks and the adoption of CIDNE by NATO.
. Worked with ISS engineers to create a common CIDNE code and server
baseline. The result was a successful deployment of a standard CIDNE
image for the entire Afghanistan theater which has reduced the level
of effort to maintain the systems and saved ISS time and money.
. Utilized Microsoft SQL server 2005 to move and maintain data in the
database, migrate database views, and ingest data from 3rd party
databases.
. Built and maintained an ESRI ArcGIS server for processing of NATO
imagery received from Brunssum Netherlands. This provided critical
Afghanistan imagery sets to the CIDNE system enhancing warfighter
capabilities and was highly praised by the NATO customer.

an environment where it is critical multiple software applications
interoperate. Multiple C2CC deliveries to the Air Force depended on
the ability to effectively troubleshoot and address issues in a timely
manner.
. Authored processes for the C2CC team which facilitated the way
business was done. The result was the elimination of duplicate efforts
and reduced training time for new hires.

multiple contracts as a trusted Government agent. Interfaced with
multiple program offices, coordinating technical systems issues
without revealing sensitive program information.
. Provided detailed and complete solutions for the AOC C2CC by obtaining
technical information on 3rd party systems and defining requirements
that the target and host systems would need to meet to successfully
integrate the product in question.
. Successfully obtained initial accreditation of the C2CC by utilizing
DISA Gold Disk to scan the client. Security findings were resolved via
the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Group Policy Editor and custom
developed scripts. The result was the very first accreditation of the
C2CC in the Air Operations Center allowing continuity of operations.
. Authored C2CC system build plans and delivered them to the integration
team on a compressed timeframe.
. Successfully assisted program wide efforts to normalize processes
across the AOCWS contract. The result was reduced integration times
for C2CC as well as the contract as a whole.
. Utilized ClearCase as a tool to provide a consistent baseline of C2CC
software packages. The tagging function within ClearCase was utilized
allowing builds of the C2CC to be consistent and repeatable. The
result was a quality product delivered to Integration.
