Processing and tooling, of aluminum cast energy related products manufactured in turning center
and machining center cells. Built CELLS to manufacture and assemble products in product and
process cells. Procured capital equipment for above-mentioned cells. Designed and loaded into
Fourth Shift (MRP system) new routing format to monitor costs and machine utilization of all
machines in each cell. Member VA/VE team. A member of the Manufacturing Task Force Team.
Procured and installed (Sept.94) turning center and built the coupler cell with four (4) other
machines (drilling and milling). 175k project.
Procured, (Jan. 95) customized, built and installed secondary drilling machine for XIH
cell. 16k project.
Procured and installed (Nov. 95) two (2) turning centers, one as a chucker the other as a bar
machine with bar feeder, in a turning cell with five (5) other machines (drilling, sawing and
milling). 275k project.
Procured and installed (Nov. 96) CNC lathe for XIH cell. 93k project.
Procured and installed (Dec. 97) CNC vertical machining center with fourth axis. 120k project.
Procured and installed (Dec. 97) 400-MM horizontal machining center in large enclosure

Procured and installed (May 98) 85 ton press break, four spot welders, Mig and Tig
welders, stud welder, post sanders and hand grinders for new sheet metal fabrication and

Procured and installed (July 98) crane systems in foundry two ton and five ton electric and
two three ton air type on stilted rails and a two ton jib type. 180k project.
Procured and installed (96,97, &99) stand alone parts washers in four cells. 100k project.
Procured and installed (Sept. 99) screen system in foundry over sand elevator recovery

Procured and installed (Aug. 2001) 800- MM horizontal machining center in large
enclosure cell. 900k project.
The VA/VE team turned in more than $ 300,000.00 in cost savings in its first year.
Manufacturing Task Force Team changed cell location’s, product flows and reduced lead
times from month to days. We cleaned up the plant, painted and changed the lighting in the
plant with the savings earned from the changes.
Review, sign, route all engineering released and changed drawings.
Participated in overhaul of the Engineering Standards manual in preparation for our
successful ISO 9001 Certification.

Lead Change Management Planner 1990-1992. Reporting to Production Control ADCAP
Manager.
Based in Production Control, voting Member of Change Control Board. Set affectivity of
engineering changes, wavers and deviations as well as group leader of procurement planners of
the materials part of production control.
Maintained 95% on time requisitions to purchasing.
Processed an average of 75 changes to base line per month to ADCAP program.
Audited ten (10) “BOMS” in Agems System (MRP system).
Technical Adviser to the Program Office of the Sealance Missile Torpedo Program 1988-1990.
Reporting to the Sealance Missile Program Director. Traveled throughout U.S. with the
Materials Manager and source inspectors, interfacing inspecting and solving supplier problems on
mechanical manufactured parts for the program.
Investment castings of aluminum and titanium were proven out and machining suppliers
were developed.
Other titanium and aluminum parts were reprocessed showing a cost reduction of over one
hundred thousand dollars.
Tooling / Process Engineer Group Leader 1986-1988. Reporting to the Manager of Metal Cutting
Engineering. Processed and tooled parts manufactured from castings and bar stock of aluminum
and titanium for ADCAP and Sealance Torpedo contracts.
Processed, tooled, debugged and introduced to the floor Four (4) aluminum bar stock
ADCAP torpedo Parts.
Processed, tooled, debugged and introduced to the floor eighteen (18) of Twenty-two (22)
aluminum and titanium cast and bar stock in-house made parts for the Sealance torpedo.
Other previously held positions were: Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering Trouble Shooter, Tool room Manager, Tool Design Supervisor and a Machinist
Apprentice Graduate. Also served as a part paid Fire Fighter and EMTA for the city of Eastlake,
Ohio.

Society of Manufacturing Engineers: Chairman 1983 and 88 of Lakeland Chapter 220.
Received Lakeland 220 Arthur L. Mace Memorial Leadership Award in 1991 and the Region IV
Honor Award in 1991. Nominated for the International Award of Merit in 1997.
Chair 2000 of SME Region 7 Ohio Valley (Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky).
