**/** - ******* *****ACT WORK - Facility Maintenance Manager: (Dallas,
TX). As the maintenance manager for area restaurants including Nick &
Sam's Grill, Strong's Restaurant, and Red's Patio Grill, I am responsible
for coordinating maintenance and repair tasks for these facilities. In
addition to the routine maintenance, I also help design and implement add-
ons during the restaurant's construction or remodel and normal operations.
These duties included work in structural, electrical, and plumbing.
09/05 - 12/05 OFFSHORE SURVEYOR: Fugro Inc. (Houston, TX). As an
offshore surveyor, I performed seabed surveys for the offshore drilling
industry. These surveys were performed with satellite and acoustic based
positioning systems and used for the installation of drilling platforms,
pipe and cable placement, and management of other subsea structures. My
duties included acquisition of survey data necessary for the project,
integration of survey equipment and software systems, and mobilization-
demobilization of equipment on survey vessels. With this position, I was
also responsible for coordinating work tasks with other subcontractors on
the project.
06/03 - 09/05 SURVEY PARTY CHIEF: Engineering and Surveying Firms in the
Dallas Area. The majority of my work consisted of land surveying for
boundary and topographical surveys, builder's schedules for new subdivision
development, and various construction stakeout projects. Once this data
was collected, I was responsible for the download, data correction, and
development of the initial site plan drawings using AutoCad and Land
Desktop.
01/02 - 12/02 SURVEY PARTY CHIEF: H. E. Bergeron Engineers (North Conway,
New Hampshire). My work primarily consisted of surveying for boundary and
topographical surveys. I was also responsible for data download,
correction, and management as explained above. In addition, I
participated in town meetings representing our clients, and I was
responsible for keeping our clients apprised of the status of our work for
them.
04/99 - 07/01 PROJECT ENGINEER: W. Dex Bender & Associates (Ft. Myers,
Florida). My work concentrated on coastal properties with land and marine
development issues. These projects were both commercial and private,
involving marinas, single family docks, new and maintenance dredging,
shoreline stabilization and monitoring, and shoreline use analysis. With
these projects, my responsibilities included proposals and feasibility
reports, serving as party chief for land and hydrographic surveys,
engineering design involving coastal marinas and docks, regulatory
permitting, client consultation, development of construction plans and
specifications, and construction administration.
01/93 - 04/99 PROJECT ENGINEER / PROJECT SURVEYOR: Great Lakes Dredge &
Dock, Hydraulic Dredge Division and Hopper Dredge Division (Gulf Coast and
Atlantic Coast). As a project engineer and project surveyor, I performed
hydrographic surveys for dredging projects that included channel and harbor
maintenance, beach renourishment, land reclamation, and emergency projects.
These surveys required gathering and processing of survey data using a
combination of GPS equipment, sounding devices, and traditional land
surveying instruments, and then presenting it to our contractor and other
involved agencies in their desired format. My duties also included
supervision of field engineers, monitoring the dredge's guidance systems,
quantity and quality control reporting, set-up and maintenance of the
positioning systems for the offshore survey vessels and dredges,
mobilization and demobilization of survey vessels and equipment, and
regular consultation with clients, subcontractors, and other involved
