EDUCATION:
. Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering - MAY 2010.
Major: Signals and Telecommunications from University of Houston.
. Bachelor of Engineering - MAY 2008: Electronics and Communications
Engineering from University College of Engineering (A), Osmania
University, India.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
. Languages: VHDL, Verilog, Assembly Level, C, Data Structures, C++,
Java, HTML.
. Design Tools: Magic for VLSI design, Xilinx, Quartus II, Cadence,
AutoCAD.
. Simulators: ModelSim, Multisim, OPNET, PSpice, Winspice, Microwind.
. Operating Systems: Windows 9x/ME/2000/XP/Vista, Linux,Unix.
. Tools: Eclipse IDE, Visual Studio 2008.
. Application Packages: MS Office, Adobe Photoshop.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
. Graduate Assistant, University of Houston (Sept 2008 - May 2010)
Graduate Assistant at the Chemical Engineering Department, which
involved maintaining the financial database of the department. I used
File maker Pro, Microsoft Excel in my work.
. Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, India (May07-May08)
Worked as a Research Assistant in the Indian Institute of Chemical
Technology for 12 months. The work mainly involved debugging and
developing programs for the professor and assisting him all through
his work. My work mainly dealt with 'reconstruction of 3d images from
2d image scans'. I used MATLAB to develop the code.
PROJECTS:
. Digital Signal Processing - Text Independent Speaker Identification.
The project mainly dealt with comparing the input voice signal from an
unknown speaker to a database of known speaker. Used Matlab to develop the
code
. Digital Image Processing - Implementation of Blob Coloring Algorithm.
I performed Histogram Shaping, Edge, Line and Circle Detection on an image.
I used Open CV and C++ for programming.
. Embedded Systems - Design of an Online Thermal Monitoring System
(OTMS) which involved monitoring the temperatures of the surrounding
environment.
. Optical Imaging - Excitation of Surface Plasmons for Use in Raman
Spectroscopy. I used Ansoft(EM Software) software for simulation.
. Advanced Digital Design - Implementation of a Serial Bit Pattern
Detector using 16 key keypad scanner as the input. I used Verilog HDL
to implement and verify the design, Modelsim for simulation and
Quartus II for synthesis, place and target the implementation to the
Altera DE2 board to demonstrate that the scanner is fully functional.
. Undergraduate Project - 3D Reconstruction of Images from 2D Image
Scans.
This project mainly dealt with the reconstruction of 3D images from 2D
image scans. I used MATLAB to develop the code.
ACHIEVEMENTS / SCHOLARSHIPS:
. Recipient of the Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) for the academic
year 2009-10.
. Recipient of the Graduate Assistant Tuition Fellowship from Fall2009 -
Spring2010.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
. Chief Organizer for the National Level Symposium "Envisage-08"
conducted by Osmania University, India.
. Mentor, Cullen College Of Engineering, University Of Houston.
