system used by 9 manufacturing sites in the United States and Mexico. Lead
contact for all supply chain, accounting, and manufacturing issues, with
responsibility to provide viable solution to all different locations with
different manufacturing needs. Basic activities included data migration
from legacy systems or paper systems into centralized data repository.
Coordination of resources at the local sites and corporate office. Plan
for testing phase and cutover to new system. Final step was go-live
support and continued support for upgrades and software patches.
> Led initiative to streamline setup and assembly in Wichita Falls
TX, plant, which resulted in being able to improve lead times of
product from 5 days to same day delivery for a quantity of 10 or
less. Overall improvement increased sales by 7% for the plant
and 216% for the manufacturing cell.
> Directed and facilitated migration from old MRP system to new
ERP system. Decrease operating costs by $350,000 over a 3 year
time period, increased performance times for MRP runs from 2
full days to 8 hours, which provided improved accuracy of data
to customers, plant personnel and executive team.
> Automated several reporting and updating processes within the
MRP system to have data ready for associates at the beginning of
day and allowed them to focus on actual work, not administrative
duties.
