protection codes and standards. Reviewed shop drawings, calculations
and product submittals for fire sprinkler and fire alarm/mass
notification systems for approval. Witnessed tests of fire protection
equipment and water supplies. Participated in a base wide fire
protection engineering survey to evaluate existing fire protection and
life safety features and identify deficiencies.

Designed automatic fire sprinkler, standpipe and fixed water spray
systems in accordance with published standards. Prepared AutoCAD (2005
and 2008) drawings, hydraulic calculations (Hass) and specifications
for these systems. Performed fire sprinkler code compliance evaluations
for nuclear power plant. Witnessed tests of fire pumps and evaluated
results.

Designed fire pumps, fire standpipes and automatic fire sprinkler and
other water based fire protection systems in accordance with published
standards. Coordinated system installation with other mechanical
trades. Prepared AutoCAD drawings and hydraulic calculations of these
systems. Witnessed and performed tests of fire protection equipment and
water supplies. Submitted applications and plans for construction
permits. Compiled list of materials needed to install system and made
pipe fabrication and loose materials lists to be sent to the job site.

computer program for scheduling and invoicing fire sprinkler and fire
pump equipment inspections.

sprinkler system hydraulic and water supply evaluations for insurance
rate purposes. Occasionally quality controlled field staff.
5/1978 to 3/1980: Edited detailed sprinklered property reports for
publication for insurance underwriting purposes. Answered technical
correspondence and telephone inquires pertaining to fire protection
systems and building construction for insurance rating.
6/1975 to 5/1978: Made detailed physical surveys of buildings and
evaluated hazards, construction and private fire protection for final
insurance rating. Prepared detailed reports and diagrams from
information obtained during surveys, including appropriate
recommendations. Witnessed tests of private fire protection equipment
