With over 25 years as a dedicated transportation professional, I have

developed and demonstrated effective sales strategies and accomplishments

with both local and national accounts, including truckload, domestic

intermodal, and international, and in all phases of market evaluation,

Southeast Regional Sales Manager, April 2009 - February 2010

Big G Express, Inc., Shelbyville, TN

Responsible for business development and account maintenance in NC, SC, GA,

FL, and southern VA.

. Grew overall revenue (not including fuel surcharges) for the region

21%, 2008 vs. 2009. (Almost 700 additional truckloads for a fleet of

325 trucks)

. Secured out-of-route surcharge from all but one account, to

accommodate a detour resulting from landslides on Interstate 40,

losing no volume as a result.

Regional Sales Manager, January 2007 - April 2009

Arnold Transportation, Inc., Jacksonville, FL

Managed the Carolinas and Virginia sales effort for this fleet of 1700

units, including regional and long haul van, day cab, and flatbed services.

. Focused on receivables and reduced the over 90 days outstanding for

my assigned accounts from over 18% to less than 4%.

. Sold the company's largest single Mexican volume account, with daily

loads both in and out of Mexico.

. Identified opportunity and sold a two fleet dedicated operation of

over $1.5 million annual sales.

Based in Memphis, TN, responsibilities were van truckload and flatbed sales

in TN, AR, MS, AL, and LA.

Account Executive, November 1991 - January 1996

American President Lines, Ltd. (APL), Oakland, CA

Responsible for sales for the domestic inter-modal 3PL division of APL in

parts of SC, NC and VA. In 1994, transferred into international sales,

handling both in- and outbound sales between Asia and parts of four states

centered around Memphis, TN.

Regional Sales Manager, 11/ 81 - 10/91 and 2/98 - 12/01 (14 years total)

Schneider National, Inc., Green Bay, WI

At various times, I was responsible for truckload sales in parts of all the

southeastern and Gulf Coast states except Texas. Ultimately covering NC and

SC, I developed and maintained a book of business of over $21 million in

annual sales.

. Grew largest account from less than $50,000 per month beginning 1998

to over $15 million in annual sales in 2001

. Re-opened a major account's business which had previously ended over a

disputed claim and grew it to over $5 million annually

During this period I also gained systems understanding and developed

industry specific problem solving skills as Market Services Manager,

responsible for pricing of movements originating in the southeastern

region, followed by as Operations Team Leader, effectively managing over 60

drivers and administrative personnel.

General Manager, April 1974 - October 1981

Owsley & Sons, Inc., Charlotte, NC

Began with this construction and industrial machinery company as Inventory

Controller for a fleet of over 500 cranes, tower cranes, track hoes,

generators, pumps, and other machinery. From there, I was promoted to

Purchasing Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and finally General Manager of

their regional sales, maintenance, and leasing location in Greenville, SC.
