To whom it may concern:
My name is Jingjing Lu and I am writing to express my great interest in the Structural
Bridge Engineer position currently available in your company. After evaluating my
background and assessing your needs, I believe I would make an excellent candidate for the
position.
I have a strong background in structure design. I studied the design classes in China and
reviewed them in Washington State University (WSU). I also gained much practical
experience from the design project and construction intern in the past years. In my position
as a bridge design engineer in ABKJ, a structural consulting firm in Seattle, AASHTO LRFD
and WSDOT BDM specifications had been used as the primary principle for design works,
and AutoCAD was the tool to develop bridge details. Moreover, I am familiar with WSDOT
software and others like STAAD Pro., Group Pile, PCACOL and MS Office, etc. The work
experiences in ABKJ qualify me for consideration for the Structural Bridge Engineer
position.
As a bridge design engineer, I have some experience but not enough. I am willing to learn
more in future work. With my good learning ability, I am ready to embrace the challenges in
the new working environment, and confident of making satisfying accomplishments.
I would appreciate an opportunity to meet with you and introduce myself in person to let you
know more about me. I can be reached at your convenience via the contact information listed
above. Thank you for considering me as a candidate for your position. I hope to hear from
you soon.
Sincerely,
J ingjing Lu
