Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding – Avondale, Louisiana

Collected data concerning the utilization of the company's resources; i.e., manpower tools, equipment, facilities, space, etc. Developed

and established labor rates and standards of craft functional areas using Industrial Engineering techniques. Became a liason between

craft and upper management on the grounds of cost and cost control using EVMS.

Completed cost savings project using high solids paint to coat inner bottoms of LPD.

Maintained a healthy TCPI for craft to assist in the realization of aditional budget.

Streamlined the processes of budgeting bills, labor rejects, cost meeting preperation and annual upper management reports.

Industrial Engineer Intern (May 2008 – Aug. 2008)

Learned first hand pipe shop operations, conducted time studies and proposed new methods of operations. Reported to general foreman

and industrial engineering supervisor my findings. Received exposure to real world IE techniques, shipyard processes & industry safety

and standards.

Constructed a fit/weld cube that utilized a 2:1 fitter to welder ratio that would maximize the number of pipes completed.

Arranged for the installation of ergonomic tables to better suit worker’s height
