Application and Web Developer

Primary developer for a wide range of hardware and software systems on both desktop and e

commerce systems within a mid size electronics manufacturer.

Design, create and test mission critical applications throughout all levels of the company and

adding functionality to existing programs. Recommend and implement solutions regarding all

facets of the company's day to day operations as necessary. Also responsible for adding new

features to and maintaining our in house point of sale software.

Major Accomplishments:

o Recommended and created a new module for our e commerce site that allows

real time address verification using USPS web service. (php, cURL, xml)

o Integrated PayPal and BillMeLater paymethods into our e commerce site and

Call Center system. (.Net, SOAP, xml, php, mySQL)

o Created dynamic web pages to enhance user experience on the website. (php,

jQuery, css)

o Created a system to track customer orders providing real time feedback and

synchronizing internal data. (.Net, smtp)

o Rewrote outdated Delphi applications to .net while adding requested features

and enhancing code performance.

Integrating Applications with Office Utilities, Unmanaged Code (Windows API calls), php

configuration, Oracle Stored Procedures (PL/SQL), IIS server configuration.

Quancept Script Programmer

Programmed Quancept scripts used to collect consumer data. Worked primarily in a linux (Red

Hat) environment, which required inherent familiarity with the OS, especially vi(m), ftp,

networking, bash, csh, shell scripting, and the CLI. Due to the nature of this field, extensive time

management and self sufficiency was crucial, as well as the ability to effectively communicate

across several levels of the organization to meet strict client specifications.

Developed several auxiliary applications for our department, mainly with perl, javascript, and shell

scripting. Internal analysis concluded that these applications saved our team (8 members) 200

hours per year, while significantly reducing errors. In addition to regular tasks, I was also the key

liaison between our department and the IT departments. In that role I provided feedback, bug

tracking, and recommendations for future software releases.
