Operations Management
. Managed the day-to-day functions of multiple departments and supervisors
for manufacturing, engineering, quality, accounting, and for multiple
facilities.
. Developed and implemented the pre-planning teams and method for new rail
car designs and subsequent startups. Eventually implemented as a
corporate philosophy for all four facilities.
. Developed, implemented, and followed through to standardization a system
to remove the "Ok-Spot"-a previous system of rework after manufacture by
changing it to an internal "buy-sell" systems within the production line
to increase productivity and exceed production schedules.
. Leader of multiple Cost Reduction / Efficiency Teams and initiatives-for
internal teams, cross-functional teams, and the supplier base for
multiple organizations.
. Managed multi-million dollar building, facility, and production equipment
installations to increase capacity and efficiencies.
. Developed standardized cost accounting for multiple facilities.
Have traveled on a global level (internationally) to develop products and
processes for heavy equipment manufacturers.
Managed the production startup of the auto rack "new" paint line system-
developing more than 200 employees into teams eventually exceeding

Quality and Engineering Management Systems
. Chaired the corporate ISO implementation for two organizations by
developing the management system from scratch for one organizations and
revamping a failed system for the other.
. Developed course materials and provided classroom training for internal
and external auditors in support of ISO management system requirements
and trained management staff pursuant to ISO registration.
. Managed both Engineering and Quality departments-simultaneously-to
maintain a common operations focus.
. Developed preventive and predictive maintenance systems to increase
throughput and uptime cycles.
Safety Management
. Assumed the role of Safety Manager for Thrall Car prior to and during the
successful OSHA VPP Merit (level 1) audit-preparing the organization by
safety management principles and safety team development.
. Facilitated-along with the new EHS Manager-the organization prior to and
