OBJECTIVE:
A position with a progressive company, utilizing my experience and training
in Power Plant Construction, Start-up, Acceptance Testing, Maintenance and
Operations in the Utility, IPP Industry.
Summery of work History
Seven startups, two as Construction Manager and five as Lead Start-up or
System engineer on PC and CFB Boilers ranging from 300 MW to 600MW using
coal and pet coke as primary fuels. Three retro fits with newer technology
DCS Turbine and Boiler controls with major boiler and APC retro fit or
replacements to comply with title 5 or other air quality permitting
requirements. Two major outages on Combine Cycle CT (7FA and Frame 5) units
with the addition of HRSG units and Water Vapor Injection Systems for
increased capacity. Coordinated the instillation of low NOX burners through
outage planning / scheduling on CT units and large coal fired boilers.
Enjoy learning and teaching new technology skills to Operations and
Maintenance at all levels.
WORK EXPERIENCE

Sandow 5 Rockdale, TX600 MW CFB
Start Up Mech. Engineer / Support Engineer for Operations/Maintenance for
Luminant
Commissioning Engineer for CFB Boilers and Large Rotating Equipment.
Responsibilities include: Commissioning Pumps, Motors, Fans, Damper
drivers, Lubrication and Hydraulic systems. Flushing of oil systems, Boiler
Refractory Cure, Boiler Refractory Inspections, Initial Balancing runs on
all fans, Draft balancing on both boilers and working draft controls into
automatic operation and building air flow curves through DCS programming.
Work with Forester Wheeler on site to set Boiler Firing parameters with Air
Flows, Fuel and Temperature per missives. Insure firing parameters are
usable and obtainable. Work with FW on HRA vibration problems and plan
outage scope for baffle installation and other warranty issues. Oversee
Tube leak repairs on boilers during testing. Review and complete system
turnover packages from subcontractors.

CT Outage Planning, HSRG Installation, SCR Installation and Outage
Management

Maintenance Manager/TMC Outage Manager

Plant City Florida
Responsible for the daily Maintenance Management, budgeting with 1 and 2
year projections. Outage Manager on capital projects and Major Outages
company wide (11 Plants across US) review, planning and manage. Manage the
monthly Maintenance Budget of 630k. Direct reports include 2 Maintenance
Supervisors, 1 Electrical Supervisor and 39 hourly workers. Manage
traveling maintenance crew of 1 supervisor and 10 technicians.
Returned to Tamuin, Mexico Jan. 20, 2005 to review first major warranty
outage. Reviewed scope and budget of 6.6 Million dollar outage and retro
fit. Outage plan was off by 9 days and the scope had to be reduced. A
budget reduction of 1.8 million due to scope change. This was a commitment
arranged with James Hardie Building Products and Sithe Energy.

Training Manager / Maintenance Manager (Contract with Livengood Management)
Sithe Energy Tamuin CFB Project Teg I & II
Tamuin, Mexico
Maintenance Manager of the 520MW CFB Petroleum Coke fired power plant in
Tamuin Mexico.
Responsible for the set-up and implementation of the PM, PdM and MMS
system. Commissioned the 4 CFB boilers with modifications and re-design of
the ash transport system. Planning for 1, 3 & 5 year forecast for outages
and budgets. Implementation of Thermography and Vibration Analysis programs
on electrical and mechanical equipment. Set up PLC and DCS training for I&C
personnel. Lead Instructor on CFB Operator Training for 8 Shift Supervisors
and 16 control room operators. Supervise 6 Spanish supervisors and 52
Electrical, I&C and Mechanical workers. Responsible for the $35 million O&M
budget and $14 million Capital budget. Scheduled outages for the 5 year
plan with expected budgets with up-side, down-side possibilities based on
Power Purchas Agreement and Forced Outage days .

JEA North side Re-Powering Project (Contract with Livengood Management)
Northside Generating Station Operations responsible for providing
expertise and assistance during the transforming of the Northside CFB Units
1 & 2 from construction and refurbishment phase through commissioning and
operation, design for high performance, efficient, cost effective and
environmentally compliant and safe operations. Additional duties include
design reviews, contract compliance and boiler commissioning and
Maintenance coordination. The project consists of two coal and petroleum
coke fired 1,993,591Lb/hr Foster Wheeler Circulating Fluid Bed Boilers and
two 297.5Mw refurbished General Electric turbine/generators
Plant Manager/ Operations Manager
Pinellas County Resource Recovery Plant
Managed the construction and start-up of the 53mm boiler retro fit project.
Managed the demolition of the precipitators and new installation of WAPC
Bag House emissions system to comply with title 5 clean air permitting at a
cost of 23mm. Lead on EPA and DEP hearings for operational permit changes
and regulatory compliance.
