Objective:

I am seeking an opportunity to apply extensive experience in water/waste water construction and operations,

pressure treatment procedures, heavy equipment, utility operations and quality assurance to a challenging career

where strong communication, project management, material/supply and troubleshooting expertise can be

effectively utilized. I have recently returned home from COB Speicher Iraq where I was stationed and working

as a contractor for the US Government. I currently live in Grenada, MS but my family and I are excited about

moving to a new area and making a new start. Thank you for any consideration.

Qualifications:

From 2000 – 2006, I was the Group Leader/Lead Operator for a wood preservation company in Mississippi. I

was initially hired as a heavy equipment operator. I was in charge of material movement utilizing forklifts,

knuckle boom loaders, skid steer loaders and front end loaders. I am a certified Powered Industrial Truck

Operator, meaning I have been trained and certified by Taylor Forklifts, Caterpillar, and Bobcat. After two years

at this position, I was promoted to the Treating Department as the Boiler/Waste Water operator. Here, it was my

responsibility to ensure that the waste water treatment plant was ran according to state and federal

environmental regulations as well as performing maintenance on all the pumps, valves, plumbing and electrical

control panels. To accomplish this mission, it was my duty to separate oils and chemicals used in the wood

preservation process from accumulated and runoff water, maintaining records of discharge volume, storage tank

levels, rainfall, pH, biological activity, maintaining inventory of chemicals and records of daily usage, and

ordering equipment and chemicals for the treatment plant. It was also my responsibility to maintain all water

systems for the boiler ensuring the water hardness levels were kept in specifications.

In 2006, I accepted a Foreman’s position with a utility company overseeing the QA/QC of materials and

equipment. My mission was to lead a crew of 5 employees through vigorous inspections of utility poles, power

lines, overhead structures and underground electrical components and performing safety checks of all

construction equipment. Using job specific equipment, we were assigned to numerous utility companies to test

pole strength, load bearing calculations, feeder wire life, proper grounding and underground equipment status

i.e. telephone connections, fiber optics and grounding equipment. I was also charged with ordering any

necessary equipment and supplies needed to complete the mission as well as timekeeping and payroll for all

employees.

In January 2008, I mobilized to Iraq as a reverse osmosis water purification foreman. This was an experience

like none other. As a foreman, it was my responsibility to direct an eight man multi-national crew in the initial

building and start up of numerous water treatment facilities throughout Iraq. We were charged with ordering of

all necessary equipment and materials for each set up using multiple DOD material control tracking programs

such as Maximo, Steam and Bugseye. Once the treatment plants were operational, I was then responsible for the

day to day operations and maintenance of the units, all raw and potable water storage, distribution, sample

collection, safety and quality audits, management of five water sampling routes, ensure log entries, equipment

calibration and documentation, update and review of a tank tracking system containing over 800 potable water

storage tanks, logistical and administration of all water tank/truck super-chlorination records, submit work

orders for all work needed and received, inventory of all equipment, coordinating with Preventive Medicine for

inspections of tanks and trucks, and ordering supplies necessary for mission success.
