HVAC Energy Engineering Manager
Objective
My objective is to pursue a profession in sales, management, and
engineering in the energy and HVAC field for industrial and commercial
applications. I want to interact with owner, engineer, contractor and
colleagues to obtain a common goal of a competitive, energy efficient
and effective system to meet today needs and tomorrow's demands.
Employment
Senior Energy Engineer
2009 - 2010
Franklin Energy
Okemos, Michigan
Engineer for Consumer Energy's Energy Optimization Program. I guided
engineers, owners, and contractors to implement to most energy
efficient technology and strategy for their scheme to maximize profits
and minimize costs. I was the first engineer to guide 100 measures
(30% above average).
Vice-President, Engineer, and General Manager
1984 - 2009
International Radiant
Madison Heights, Michigan
I was brought aboard to do designs, engineering, and drafting in
support of the sales staff. I was responsible for complete design of
an HVAC system. Our mission was to design an energy efficient system
in the most cost effective manner possible.
Within 6 months I added sales to my duties where I surveyed buildings
and interacted with clients, owners, architects, engineers, and
utility companies. I quickly became the top sales person, out selling
others by a 2:1 margin.
Within 18 months I added the installation and service team to my
responsibilities and was promoted to General Manager which allowed the
owner to semi-retire. I was responsible for personnel, inventory,
equipment, sales, engineering, vendors, profit, and marketing.
We expanded our product base, customers, and job sizes. Our business
quadrupled in size in 10 years.
The technology I implemented for the client saved 20% to 50% of the
fuel bill, usually within a 3-year payback.
