WORK EXPERIENCE
Director of Development
Freelance web development company
Cymbid - Oregon
(6/2008 - present)
I use Eclipse with PDT for daily PHP website development, occasionally
utilizing Zend Studio; primarily for web service API's, semantic analysis
and some debugging.
Used Silverlight for the media format support and ColdFusion for upgrades
to pre-existing sites or by customer request.
Used RTML for rebuilding an existing Yahoo Store for a prominent Texas
Winery.
For every site or application developed, I've always included a Content
Management System (either completely custom or an existing open source CMS)
for easy administration and updates. I have also developed update-by-email
solutions and update-by-mobile text messaging solutions.
Use existing RSS feeds and XML via SOAP to aggregate information into MySQL
databases for a real-time online tracking system built off PHP to pull
weather data, highway cameras and additional information for viewing on a
website.
Integrate and dynamically use MySQL and SQL databases with PHP for 85% of
projects encountered.
Occasionally use Visual Basic, PERL or ASP as needed for various
development. Visual Basic for stand alone applications and ActiveX
controls; PERL for large text processing jobs; ASP when working with or
needing the use of a Microsoft Server.
Built a custom e-commerce site from scratch with PHP, including shopping
cart, store locator and check-out process by building off FedEx and the
payment processor's API specifications. I've also used open source
solutions (with custom modifications), such as osCommerce, for more general
and budget oriented projects.
I usually try to suggest to our customers the use of Apache as their web
server, due to the stability and functionality of this system over other
systems, such as Microsoft Exchange.
Project Manager
Intuit: Financial Institution Division (Digital Insight) - Westlake
Village, CA
(2/2006 - 3/2009)
While primarily a Project Management role, there were times when I had to
develop new tools to assist myself and other Project Managers in getting
better results.
When installing a new third party vendor's Online Statements functionality,
I worked through the XML processing requests with the Technical Support
Engineer to get the proper results.
Used PHP and CSS to develop an online "look and feel" preview tool for both
an internal project and a third party product.
Used Sharepoint to help develop an issue tracking system for the newly
integrated Toyota Production System model and provide initial testing
results regarding a department specific "dashboard".
Used PHP to develop a specific file manipulator to take an existing data
set and convert it into a company approved data set for a high-level
Business Banking conversion.
Information Technology Manager/Programmer
EDMS, LLC - Springfield, OR
(10/1999 - 10/2005)

company website.
Used HTML and PHP to design, develop and maintain company website.
