Selected Accomplishments
Overcame economic slump. Market demands posed significant threat to on-
going operations for New Jersey Devils. Designed, executed, and championed
early renewal program with financial incentives, driving pre-season sales.
Boosted year-over-year renewals 43% and increased revenue 20%.
Turned around franchise. Attendance was down and the New Jersey Nets faced
significant losses. Spearheaded critical staffing changes, restructured the
organization, and controlled costs. Boosted revenues and operating profits
$25M, a 74% improvement.
Improved cash flow. Purchased Furniture Factory and restructured 20-year
lease, allowing for operational evaluation, improving cash flow 46%.
Purchased alternative 32K sq. ft. facility and refinanced SBA loan with a
50% rate reduction, gaining an additional 47% cash flow improvement.
Reduced real estate taxes over 200%.
Established fundamentals for growth. Upon taking over day-to-day operations
of the New Jersey Nets, identified ways to strengthen financial
performance. Implemented cost controls and evaluation measure, raising
accountability. Initiated purchase order and internal operational system,
increasing bottom line $1M+.
Leveraged financial expertise to improve banking relationships. Video
Services Corp was paying prime plus on its credit facility. Entered
negotiations with multiple banks, creating syndication for a $50M LOC at
LIBOR.
Created and spurred grassroots marketing initiative. New Jersey Devils
needed to have a better connection with local community. Set up and
instituted Grassroots Department, providing goodwill incentive programs for
youth and rinks. Won support, leading to $100K increase in ticket sales.

New Jersey Devils, a privately-held NHL sports / entertainment franchise,
1993 to Present. Progressively promoted into senior management roles (SVP
Finance and Executive VP), and currently serving as Chief Operating Officer
/ Senior Executive Vice President since 2005. Hold up to $100M P&L
responsibility with $50M SG&A. Manage 100 direct reports and oversee 350
employees.
New Jersey Nets, a privately-held NBA sports / entertainment franchise,
2001 to 2004. Recruited by holding company to serve as Executive Vice
President. Held $80M P&L responsibility and managed 100 staff. Set goals
and executed growth strategies.
Furniture Factory, a privately-held wood millwork manufacturing firm, 2000
to Present. Seized opportunity to purchase manufacturing business. As
Principal, recruited key staff members, sustaining a 12 person operation.
Hold full P&L responsibility and restructured business plan, sustaining
profitability during economic turmoil.
Video Services Corp., a $200M Broadcast conglomerate, 1997. Recruited as
CFO to advise, negotiate, and establish fiscal benchmarks to support long-
term growth initiatives.
