Lab and Operations Assistant - Responsibilities
include, but not limited to, design and furnish
lab. Write SLP's and research new methods for
testing different components in the streams. Clean
up and organize the lab, create an inventory and
maintenance checklist for all lab equipment, work
out proper disposal procedures for spent lab
chemistries and reagents. In charge of process
testing and keep a well recorded log book for the
analysis done.

Lab Tech - Responsibilities include, but not
limited to, analyze an array of samples, ranging
from production (QC) to environmental samples.
Prepare and shoot standards for calibration of Gas
Chromatographs (GC), make internal standards,
prepare buffer solutions, run samples on a
spectrophotometer, calibrate pH meter, input data
into LIMS, create certificate of analysis on SAP.

Core Analyst - Responsibilities include, but not
limited to, clean core samples in the Leaching and
Extracting Lab. Keep up with the inventory and
handle jobs given by the team lead. Started to get
trained in the Sidewall Lab and was taught to use
the mercury pump to determine porosity. Was sent
to the Chevron Oil Shale project in Colorado where
I learned to calibrate and use the portable gamma
detector, took photos on site, boxed and tagged
core.

time since I was there.
