SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
. Led the design and implement multi terabytes financial trading regulatory
data warehouse systems (RAC 10g on Sun Solaris and Linux platforms) using
dimensional data modeling techniques for end user reporting and analysis
applications. The Oracle features such as partitioning, sub-partitioning,
bitmap indexes, data compression, etc are employed for optimizing the
performance and data storage. In addition, several data mart systems were
built to support the regulatory data warehouse systems for end users
usage.
. Led the project to consolidate CBOT time and sales price data from
different data feeds, departments and hardware platforms to a centralized
Operational Data Store (ODS) System. This includes conducting the
feasibility study/survey from different groups and departments, data
modeling design, database system architect and HA technology chosen. The
whole system is implemented in Oracle RAC 10g, Web Logic & Oracle
Application Servers.
. Converted Order Routing floor trading system from Sybase to Oracle
database. Implemented and administrated the Credit Default Swap (CME &
Citadel joint venture CDS system) trading system on Sybase ASE 15.0.2
(Linux Red Hat platform).
. Migrated Oracle database systems from Solaris platforms to Oracle RAC10g
on Linux platform.
. Managed and supported the migration from Tandem Price system to new
ePRICE system, where the data is stored in Oracle Rac 10g database
servers on Solaris UNIX platform. This was part of the Tandem mainframe
decommission project, which saved the company millions dollars
maintenance license fee.

. Implemented the eCBOT electronic trade handling system on Oracle RAC for
US and European markets. In addition to RAC HA solution for this trading
system, the Disaster Recovery database is employed with Oracle Dataguard
technology.
. Designed and implemented CBOT Order Routing Floor Trading system using
Sybase database system, MQ, Web Logic, C++, SUN cluster and First Watch.
Participated in application and data model design, database software,
hardware platform and HA solution chosen.
. Converted and upgraded Oracle 6i (client/server) reports/forms to
Internet Explorer browser based system via Oracle 10g Application
Servers.
. Migrated Patrol database monitoring tool to Oracle Grid Control
monitoring system for all Oracle development, QA and production database
servers
. Designed and successfully implemented the IE browser system for traders
and corporate staff to browse the current and historical commodity price
data anytime and anywhere via Oracle Application Servers.

. Migrated Sybase database servers from Solaris 2.5 servers to new UNIX

included Oracle 6 to 7, 8, 8i, 9i,10g and 11g. The upgrades covered RAC,
Dataguard Physical Standby databases and multi tetra bytes DSS database
