delivery functions to allow greater enhanced delivery and expand the product platform into new markets
including Futures instruments, Tickers and other market data applications. Presented strategic and
tactical progress to clients and the Board, representing the major FX market makers. Management
responsibility included a worldwide support staff of 300+ employees in 24 countries.
Management Consultant / Interim President, Transax Systems. 1994 – 1996. This technology
solutions provider to the transportation and ocean carrier industry had lost significant market share due
to technology obsolescence and aggressive competition. Presented turnaround plans to Economist
(parent) Board of Directors. Coordinated the turnaround and reversal of $3 million in losses by reducing
operating expenses, introducing new transaction processing technologies, and cementing remaining
customer loyalty. Replaced two generations of legacy systems with client server technology and reduced
technology staff by 25%. Other automation efforts yielded a total staff reduction of over 60%.
