Project Experience
Research Assistant
University of California, Riverside
Sep 2007 - Present
> Led the projects concerning the biosolids safety management. Performed
the mixed model and GEE for the longitudinal data using SAS to provide
the microorganism management solutions for various biosolids
treatment.
> Designed the Cox proportional hazards model and Frailty model for
clinic survival analysis to select the important factors to decide the
Hospice Referral Strategy, implemented with SAS and R.
> Developed non-homogeneous Markovian and ordinal logistic and random
effect model for US colleges' athletic ranking data to predict the
effects of the covariates using SAS and R. It is used for the UCR
athletic social studying.
> Designed plant parasite time-series experiment to minimize the
generalized variance of the parameter estimators, implemented with
Design Expert.
> Performed data collection as well as SAS programming(drop/keep
variables, sort, merge, concatenate/join files, created tables,
constraints, indexes, views, sequences, triggers, stored procedures;
tuned SQL statements.
> Performed data checks and validation tests to determine data quality,
maintain and track data sets, assure data security, review data for
completeness and appropriateness.
> Designed and implemented statistical reporting process for data
collection. Analyze used Dynamic Data Exchange(DDE) feature for
importing and exporting of data from and into SAS, Excel and Access.
Research Assistant
University of California, Riverside (Dept of Plant Sciences)
Sep 2005 - Sep 2007
> Developed Models for statistical phylogenentics using molecular
sequences by the methods of parsimony, maximum likelihood or Bayesian.
> Designed the tools to retrieve the major TE families by using genome
shotgun sequences, implemented by Perl.
