lower level, 350-seat conference center and 3 floors of office space, an
$11 million dollar bio-hazard "clean room" research facility and a $12
million dollar research and manufacturing facility. Oversee all inspection
and construction activities ensuring compliance with specifications.
Supervise engineers and technicians. Write bid specifications; solicit,
review and award contracts. Review engineering documents for feasibility
and cost efficiencies; complete field design and approve modifications.
Develop construction schedules and maintain progress files. Work with
existing departments to coordinate shut downs for new connections and
installations while minimizing down time. Manage compliance with EPA, OSHA
and FDA regulations.
. Upon starting, several projects were off schedule and out of budget;
accelerated work to bring project on schedule and through cost
controls brought project within required budget.

between $500,000 and $2,000,000; coordinate facility maintenance. Oversee
the installation of new capital equipment; coordinate contractors and
employees; prioritize and schedule projects around production needs.
Develop and manage budgets for preventive maintenance, fuel and power
procurement, manpower and capital expenditures. Supervise contractors,
tradesmen, technicians and maintenance personnel; oversee design,
installation and start up of equipment; implement new equipment and
workflow designs to increase productivity. Monitor plant for compliance
with OSHA and EPA regulations.
. Through bidding and purchase revisions initiated gas procurement
program which will save the company up to $200,000 per year.
