B.S. Resource Development 1974
Primarily forestry and wildlife management with emphasis on resource
utilization
1974 --- 35+ years of managerial experience. Over the years I have gained
knowledge of every aspect of the production environment. Construction,
purchase, manufacture and marketing principles necessary to successfully
manage people, time and machinery in order to properly acquire raw
materials, efficiently manufacture a product and profitably market it both
retail and wholesale.
1975 Appointed to the Conservation Commission, Town of Coventry, upon its
inception, to advise the Town on matters concerning the environment and
zoning.
1980 Elected to the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service,
U.S. Department of Agriculture to advise on distribution of government
funds related to soil conservation and forestry practices within the State
of R.I.
My work history displays my exposure to and understanding of the
forest products industry specifically. However, the knowledge I have
gained exceeds a general understanding of resource management whether it
is forestry or human. Throughout my career an ability to communicate with
employees, contractors, customers and various officials has served me
well. The practical and mechanical talents I acquired out of necessity
have been an invaluable asset. I have always been confident when
approached with a particular problem, either human or inanimate, that a
solution was possible.
