Work Experience

Athletic Field Supervisor, Marietta College, Marietta, OH: 2005-2009

Maintain and prepare the Soccer, Softball, baseball and football

varsity fields as well as practice facilities for collegiate sporting

events. Supervise crew of 3 to insure quality work is completed in timely,

professional manner and complete the scheduling of the maintenance crew.

Daily inspection of fields to protect and improve the field conditions

while preventing fungus, mold and foreign grass growth. Maintain daily

communication with supervisor and crew as to status of projects,

assignments, and goals. Utilize knowledge of the field demands, grass

species, soil make-up and watering system to maximize field performance,

appearance and durability.

Intramural Sports Organizer, Marietta College, 2005-2009

Assist in the operation of intramural leagues, establishing schedules

of leagues and teams; supervising participants in sports leagues: setting

up gymnasiums and playing fields for sports events; scheduling and

supervising playing fields. Plan, schedule and publicize various

activities to attract and motivate participants. Ensure adherence to

safety rules and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Course Work

PHED 200, NCAA National Championship Track Meet, 2009

In-depth knowledge of the sport of track & field and its events as well as

the knowledge of administrating a track & field competition, familiar with

general athletic department administration and the business of event

sponsorship. Developed, coordinated and implemented community events

during the championship in an effort to include the Marietta community.
