Specific Project Experience
Basewide Site Inspection, Buckley Air Force Base, CO: Project Manager
duties included proposal preparation, work plan development, tracked
financial status, developed and maintained schedule and prepared field work
activities.
Range Remedial Investigation, F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Cheyenne, WY:
Developed sampling rationale and plan for the small arms range
investigation in support of an unexploded ordnance (UXO) Remedial
Investigation (RI). Planned and coordinated soil sampling events to
delineate about 3000 acres for munitions constituents (MC) from firing
ranges and for metals from small arms ranges (SAR). Collected and analyzed
over 800 soil samples for SAR sampling using field x-ray fluorescence
(XRF). Prepared the Sampling and Analysis Plan and the RI Report.
Supported geophysical staff through locating anomalies with GPS and
flagging each location.
Tanapag Fuel Farm Project, Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas
Islands: Project manager and field lead for this project. Performed
delineation of petroleum products and metals in support of removal of six
10,000 barrel above-ground storage tanks through the EPA Region 9 START
contract. Analysis of the soil was performed by PetroFlag for petroleum
and using an XRF for metals.
ERP Site 7 Sludge Drying Beds Supplemental Site Characterization, Buckley
Air Force Base, Aurora, CO: Developed the technical approach through
evaluation of historic documents, determining data gaps, developing data
quality objectives, preparing the work plan, executing the plan, and
completing the report. Utilized XRF results for delineation of metals.
Remedial Investigation, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO:
Developed investigation plan and led the field event to characterize skeet
range for metals and PAH levels. Included 13 firing locations within the
skeet range. XRF was used to screen samples. Prepared work plan and report.
Remedial Investigation and Corrective Measures Study, Malmstrom Air Force
Base, Great Falls, MT: Performed investigation and subsequent remediation
of a closed small arms range berm. Utilized XRF to direct the investigation
and the real-time remediation.
Drill Pit Investigation, Undisclosed Client, CO: Successful short-notice
preparation for four teams simultaneous collection of different media from
active drill pits in four basins around Colorado for potential use in
Colorado legislation. Additional projects were awarded based on success
with drill pit characterization. These projects included additional
sampling of drill pits and continuous drill mud sampling on an active drill
rig.
Basewide Preliminary Assessment, Buckley Air Force Base, CO: Managed this
project and was responsible for the URS technical and financial
performance. Client satisfaction resulted in URS being tasked with the
follow-up project, the Basewide Site Inspection.
Property Redevelopment Business Line, Business Development Plan Committee,
Denver, CO:
Assisted in developing a new business line for the Denver URS Office.
Contributed to establishing and
implementing a business plan to identify and capture Brownfields
opportunities.
Voluntary Cleanup Program, Colorado Interstate Gas, Table Rock Plant, WY:
Managed a successful semi-annual groundwater sampling program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating field teams,
sample management, IDW management, data validation, and collecting
groundwater samples using pumps and bailers.
Quarterly Long Term Monitoring, F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Cheyenne, WY:
Managed a successful quarterly groundwater and surface water sampling
program.
Environmental Stewardship Plan, Triservices Skeet Range, Aurora, CO:
Developed sampling plan and performed project manager duties through
several related projects for the on-base skeet range at Buckley Air Force
Base.
