A $55MM employee-owned company specializing in machining, grinding,
anodizing, plating, and assembly of imaging industry components and
contract metal-forming.
Operations Manager
Responsible for operations of three (3) manufacturing sites and corporate
engineering.
- Led improvement initiatives in machining department resulting in 33%
increase in productivity and 66% quality improvement.
- Reorganized anodizing plant resulting in turnaround from break-even to
budgeted margin profitability. Improved productivity 67% and reduced
rejects by 66% with no capital spend.
- Sold and managed major R&D project involving the development of
Lexmark's first color laser printer. After development, the program was
to go to Malaysia; strategic product engineering allowed company to hold
the business for 3 additional years at profit.
