Area of Focus : Implementing IP Routing Protocols and Switching in a multi-
vendor environment.
CERTIFICATIONS
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional(Switching)
Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional(BGP-MPLS)
SKILLS
. Working understanding and practical use of TCP/IP and related Internet
protocols.
. Working understanding of IP protocols/services such as DNS, DHCP, SNMP
and routing protocols (RIP, OSPF & BGP).
. Working understanding of Wide area network technologies, such as ISDN,
Frame Relay, ATM, T1, DS3, OC3/OC12.
. Experience with Network monitoring tools and techniques such as Wireshark, hands-on experience with switches, routers(Cisco IOS environment),
firewalls, IP addressing.
. Experience with security technologies for encryption, authentication and
authorization, such as IPSEC.
. Familiarity with UNIX-based operating systems, CLI environments and
Python.
PROJECT WORK
. MHC Network Merger (2009) - Design, test and successfully migrate to a
unified network for a mock health care organization of 1000+ employees.
The project involves integrating three sites over the internet into a
unified network, which supports high bandwidth applications, remote
access for employees and voice over IP.
. EMF measurements as a function of time and distance in the city of
Boulder (2009) -Determining the RF field intensity measurements from
various wireless devices, TV and cell phone transmitters as a function of
time and location in Boulder, CO . Accepted at BioEM conference held in
Davos, Switzerland (June'09).
. Implementing Router Security over IPv6 (2008) - Scanned routers for
vulnerabilities, identified various security concerns and then worked on
each one of them individually to either eliminate them completely or
mitigate it to make the risk come down to an acceptable level. Created
security procedures for them.
