Responsible for the direction and oversight of labor relations for

unionized

academic and non-academic staff in the University of California

system:

approximately 67,000 employees. Responsible for bargaining and

ongoing labor

relations for ten system-wide bargaining units and twelve bargaining

units at

individual UC campuses. Supervises professional and support staff.

Coordinates UC labor relations activities with ten campuses, five

medical centers, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories.

colleagues on a multitude of compensation issues and policy issues.

Directs Labor Relations staff in contract negotiations, responses to
