Strategic Buyer – Appoint suppliers, negotiate pricing, maintain master component data, and track the status of

mechanical components during the development cycle of projects.

• Saved over $2.5m by introducing a relatively new supplier in place of a well indoctrinated supplier to

achieve the best quality product and cost. End result was a winning quality solution, lower cost and a

more streamlined supply chain.

• Participated in overhauling the supply chain to reduce the quantity of suppliers during a period of

decreased volumes. This effort added significant leverage during global negotiations.

January 2007 – April 2009 RTP, North Carolina

Material Supply Product Leader – Responsible for the management of variant materials on multiple projects

during mass production with lifetime volumes ranging from 100k to 25m.

• Oversaw materials on the largest volume project in Sony Ericsson history with revenues totaling over $3b.

Saved customer orders worth millions of dollars by working closely with buyers, planners, and factories to

secure optimal utilization of materials on hand during severe shortages caused by unforeseen steep

production ramps.

• Allocation effort helped the product win the President’s Award for Best Project in 2008.
