advertising company whose products include Search Engine Optimization and Marketing, Direct Mail and Print. My
responsibilities included cold calling, new business development, campaign building, research, tracking, reporting and
customer service.
Urban Coffee Company June 2004 - December 2007 OWNER/OPERATOR Seattle, WA
I created an espresso stand business and was responsible for all aspects of day to day operations. I gained knowledge
and skill in purchasing, inventory control, accounting, training, supervising, permitting and licensing. The company
was profitable and sold in December 2007.

Responsibilities included account management of existing customers as well as prospecting for new business at an
offset printing production facility. I sold products and services to business customers and met monthly sales quotas
using a needs analysis sales approach. time was spent cold calling, making presentations, cost estimating, database
creation and maintenance, tracking work flow and product quality. Emphasis was placed on customer satisfaction and
relationship building. Overall production numbers tripled during my employment.
Principal Financial Group July 1990 - April 1997 LICENSED AGENT/SALES REPRESENTATIVE. Seattle,
WA As an agent I was responsible for all areas of new business development. Principal Financial is a full service
institution specializing in pension planning and all forms of insurance. While employed I attended several trade
seminars and selling workshops as well as on-going training Business, Personal and Estate Planning courses were
taken. Daily activity was cold calling, scheduling appointments, presentations, creating client files, data entry and
customer service. Membership in Seattle Rotary and various community service committees I was elected salesperson
of the month 11 times and salesperson of the year in 1994. I am still a licensed agent and take on going continuing
education for 16 credits annually. I maintain accredidation, however, I am no longer an active representative.

Being a member of the banquet/catering staff my responsibilities were in all areas of the department. I worked coffee
breaks, parties large and small, off-site catering functions and bartending. My job was to help in design, assembly,
implementation and tear down of all guest related activity. Focus was always placed on customer service and attention
to detail.
