Objective: I am interested in a position with a progressive organization
where I can utilize my construction skills and abilities for a mutually
beneficial association.
Summary: I have over 34 year's extensive experience in construction
management. During that time, I have been responsible for coordination
with and supervision of State Governmental agencies, architects,
contractors, and personnel at various professional levels. I have a proven
record of accomplishment for completing difficult projects on schedule and
on budget. I have excellent interpersonal skills, a professional attitude,
and firm personality to manage projects independently or as a team member.
Professional Experience:
1999 - 2008 Taisei Construction Corp., Honolulu, Hawaii
General Superintendent
Responsibilities: As General Superintendent, I have extensive experience
in managing all aspects of multi-million dollar construction projects of
distinctive, innovative, and specialized facilities. I was responsible for
planning and organizing all resources necessary to ensure that projects are
completed in the most efficient manner. I proved successful at effectively
allocating all necessary resources to maintain production schedules and
deadlines for multiple sites, and managed a workforce of over 200
engineers, carpenters, skilled tradesmen, and general labor personnel,
coordinating their work schedules as needed for the timely completion of
projects.
I worked directly with Senior Company officials to ensure that all
stakeholders were current on construction issues and progress. I believe
that strategic partnerships with management, suppliers, and the workforce
are all necessary for bringing projects in on time and on budget while
meeting the customer's expectations. Using my extensive experience I
solved problems and issues in a logical and methodical manner through
timely problem identification, cause, analysis of alternatives, and
solutions that move projects forward while maintaining job quality and
employee safety.
