Client: Airvana, MA
. Commissioning new ATCA Chassis (RNC 9000) and ensuring its complete
operation by configuring and checking the performance, reliability and
functionality of each blade like the Switch Module, BIO, System
Controller and RNSM.
. Setting up end to end data call by configuring the ATs (G-TRAN, Sierra
and Novatel air cards, Qualcomm FFAs) DOMs, ATCA RNC and the PDSN by
creating interfaces and routing between all the Node Elements.
. Good understanding of rev-A call control flow, handoff procedures, OSI
reference models and TCP/IP model.
. Hands on experience in configuring routes for end to end connectivity
between ATCA RNCs, AAA server, PDSN and EMS
. Ensure the functionality of different features and applications like
Basic Homing such as Primary and Secondary, Soft and Softer Handoffs,
Intersubnet Soft Handoff, Interfrequency Hard handoff, Fast Re-Homing,
Secondary to Primary Pdsn switchovers and vice versa, Auto A10 Re-
connect for PCF failure, A13, A16 Handoff for mixed and same network,
verification of Paging using preferred sector scheme, Last Active Set
scheme and Subnet Wide scheme using UDP send tool, verification of
forward and reverse throughput for REV0, REVA and e-HRPD calls,
measure the latency, session and connection set-up time of the evdo
call for both REV 0 and REV A, verification of clustering for both
mixed and same network by checking appropriate counter values.
. Perform all the above mentioned testing also using VoIP, Push to Talk
devices and analyze logs from both ATCA RNC and PDSN for discrepancies
. Configure AAA Server for Access Network using NAI and Round Robin and
verify the operation of end to end call with terminal authentication
enabled
. Verify the SNTP timing in ATCA RNC and ensure that it is able to
obtain the time from the DOM ( Data only module )
. Check for alarms and traps using Fault Client management and
configuration of ATCA through EMS
. Using GEM tool from Spirent in introducing delays in packets,
corrupting FCS and ensure that the RNC is able to handle such
scenarios
. Perform debugging of issues by collecting and analyzing logs from
RNCs, DOMs and ATs and provide technical assistance to development
team in resolving the issue
. Responsible for creating test cases by co-coordinating with
development team to decide on the expected behavior of ATCA
Systems Administrator Aug 2007 - Dec 2008
Client: Motorola (Carrier: Verizon, Sprint-Nextel) NJ, KS
. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software
requirements by taking logs of failures and performing their
statistical analysis by taking into consideration of different
parameters like network, software and hardware, doing a root cause
analysis and making a test report on it.
. Test operating system-level software's on various phones using BREW,
a wireless Development application.
