Title 1: Encrypted Volume and File System (EVFS)

Description:

The HP UX Encrypted Volume and File System (EVFS) is an application transparent file and volume

encryption technology providing storage of data (files and volumes) in encrypted form on disk and backup

media. EVFS protect against raw access of plaintext data), safeguards against compromised use of data due

to physical theft of storage devices, protects against unauthorized access. The file encryption is based on a

public key cryptosystem and runs as an integrated kernel service transparent to the user.

Responsibilities:

• Thorough understanding of the product requirements. Involved in the Investigation, Design and

Implementation of Encrypted Volume and File System features and release of the product.

• Involved in the development of device driver

• Involved in product functionality testing, System testing, coexistence testing in different product test

environments, Integration testing of the entire product test suite.

• Own the test suite development for testing the functionality of the product. Extensively used unix

shell scripts to develop test cases.

• Accurately worked on End To End testing and reported Bugs/Issues, Testing efforts and Test results.

• Administrator for the Software Configuration Management (SCM) activities of the product.

• Published the white paper on the “Backup/Restore of data from EVFS volumes using HP

Description:

The HP UX Trusted Operating system has all the features of a B1 level secure system. However, it has not

been certified as B1 compliant.

Responsibilities:

• Direct support contact for all customer issues (via Response Centers).

• Setup the test environment and reproduce the defect.

• Analyze and fix both user space and kernel space defects.

• Build and provide the binaries/patches with the fix to the customers.

Title 3: Common Criteria Certification (CCC)

Description:

Common Criteria Certification project aimed at making HP UX11iv2 compliant to standards. Now HP

UX11iv2 is certified at EAL4 (Evaluated Assurance Level).

Responsibilities:

• Thorough understanding of the certification process and assurance levels like EAL1 7, B1, C1.

• In depth knowledge of security portfolio of HP UX and Involved in the development of the LLD

(Low Level Design Document) which captures the security features implementation for all the

system calls and commands of HP UX 11iv2.

• Fix the warnings during running the Command functional test suite for entire HP UX security

related commands.

Description:

A distributed architecture to optimize the utilization of resources which are spread across different domains

Title: Work Flow Engine (WFE)

Description:

This web application cum automation system has been developed to be implemented as a follow up system

for current existing system. This project would automate the operations of the

management. The specific purpose of this system is to automate the proposals that are submitted to the

various departments in the organization. Typically the departments include technology, process

management. The proposals submitted to these departments have to be submitted by the employees and

approved by the management, following which the proposals are implemented. In order to approve the

submitted proposals they follow the workflow. The proposal moves from one state to the other in the

workflow, where its status is transformed from Created to Approved.

Responsibilities:

• This is an in house project to. Thorough understanding of the requirements.

• Investigation, design and implementation of the project.

• Understanding the modules and design such a way that they fit in J2EE architecture.

• Used MVC framework (Struts framework) to develop the project.

UX PA RISC to HP UX Itanium server.

Training provided on Software Transition Kit (STK) for the National

Prototype the demo of HP VSE SRP (Virtual Server Environment

Secure Resource Partitioning) to customers. Worked with presales teams to successfully integrate

the demo with the AISS 2.0, Korea.

Contributed for HP KoD (Knowledge on Demand) by coming up with

a detailed comparison of HP UX 11i Virtual Partiion (vpars) vs Sun Solaris Logical Domains

(LDoms) as part of Field Selling Simplification (FSS) program.
